The Chocolate Block Wine

The Chocolate Block is a renowned red blend from Boekenhoutskloof winery in South Africa’s Swartland region. The 2022 vintage comprises 77% Syrah, 9% Grenache, 8% Cinsault, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 1% Viognier. This wine offers aromas of dark, brooding fruit, complemented by notes of cardamom, cumin, cloves, and black pepper. On the palate, it is structured and opulent, with a rich, textured mid-palate balanced by integrated acidity and cocoa powdery tannins. The finish is smooth and lifted, with lingering white pepper notes.
